Please note that at this point in time, we were already considering filming at the Lahore Heritage Club which is why it has been referenced as a potential location in the early concept—you can read more about the location scouting process in later blog posts.
Since Esha was the one primarily handling the technical aspects of our music video’s production, the work of developing the narrative/concept of it with her feedback was mainly my duty. With this in mind, I initiated the process of trying to come up with multiple fragmented ideas we could possibly incorporate into our music video and the promotion package as a whole.

Notes from Future Tashfa: Some of these ideas were discarded entirely (e.g. the origami props) while others were fully fleshed out through comprehensive Zoom meeting amongst ourselves (e.g. the rather vague idea of “a woman who is desperate to leave her mark on the world” was developed into the idea of representing a woman who is chained by a patriarchal society’s oppressive limits, as symbolised by props like a blindfold to underline a lack of access to education).
